Dangerous Golf is a Crazy Golf From Former Burnout Devs

Burnout creators Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry have lifted the lid on Dangerous Golf, their first game since leaving Criterion and forming independent studio Three Fields Entertainment.

“It’s as serious a golf game as Burnout was a serious simulation to driving games”, Ward says. Anyway, as you’d expect of a game with such a title, Dangerous Golf is all about pulling off the flashiest tricks and destroying as much of your surroundings in the process.

Dangerous Golf is an irreverent, silly, fun golf game that asks players to break rules and wreak havoc on more than 100 holes in four surprising locations.

“Destructive powers increase as the ball heats up, ensuring that the most elaborate shots are not only the most rewarded, but the most impressive to watch”, the developer said.

Dangerous Golf will be available to download on the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store, and Steam in May 2016.

Golf games might not be the most popular of the sporting genre – or of any genre, of course – but they should be, because Everybody’s Golf exists. That game has now been officially announced and it’s titled Dangerous Golf.

“We’ve worked really closely for the past couple of years with Epic, not just [in the UK] but in various locations around the world, and also with Nvidia, again various locations around the world from Gateshead to New Zealand, working with some real technical geniuses”, Ward continues. “But now we’re an independent company we’re targeting very, very high-end PC”. So you’re truly playing together and you have one score. The developer intends to use this technology to develop a series of games focused on speed, danger, excitement, and destruction.

Three Fields Entertainment takes a very unique but simple approach to making games: challenge the industry norm, bring the joy back into game development and have fun in the process.
