United deny ‘Van Gaal offered to quit’ report
Van Gaal reportedly offered to resign for the third time following the 1-0 defeat against Southampton last weekend and there doesn’t seem to be a coherent strategy at the club.

The Independent report that the then-Real manager Rafa Benitez convinced Bale to stay in Spain while he had his own doubts about his prospects of winning silverware under United’s embattled boss Loius van Gaal.
Van Gaal prompted further speculation about his future when he jetted back home to Holland, but it later emerged he attended his daughter’s birthday.
Manchester United’s hopes of signing James Rodriguez and Ever Banega have been dashed by Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
Should Woodward and the club’s owners, the Glazer family, decide a change is required, the three favourites to replace Van Gaal are Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and Ryan Giggs.
And Van Gaal was seen arriving at United’s Carrington complex to take training.
After suffering a sixth league defeat of the season, Van Gaal must also lift his players for Friday’s FA Cup fourth round trip to Derby County.
Loud boos rang around Old Trafford following the final whistle of Saturday’s game against the Saints as Van Gaal endured what he later described as the worst reaction he has heard from United supporters during his time in charge.
“I’m very disappointed that I can not reach the expectations of the fans”, Van Gaal said.
They trail Tottenham Hotspur, in fourth, by five points and face Stoke City and Chelsea in their next two Premier League matches.

Until United organise themselves in terms of the management and playing style, they can not expect transfer targets to take them seriously.
