Mayor Ed Murray confirmed Tuesday night that there were “multiple victims” in a shooting on Airport Way South and S. Atlantic Street Tuesday night.
Seattle Police Department assistant police chief Robert Merner briefs the media on shooting in The Jungle homeless encampment.
Police were responding to the shooting scene as Murray began a previously scheduled address, the station reported.
One person was dead at the scene, four victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center. Two of the injured were in critical condition and were in surgery Tuesday, and a third was in critical condition but in a more stable condition than the other two who were wounded, he said. Hospital spokeswoman Susan Gregg said that a man brought in at 7:50 p.m. also died.
