Things We Learned From The X-Files Revival Premiere My Struggle

Since “The X-Files” miniseries premiered Sunday on Fox, Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) have had to deal with alien DNA and people with special abilities, thanks to genetic mutations.

“There is something extra, and I don’t know what that is”. That problem is scheduling, and that has been brought up several times by members of the cast and Chris Carter during the promotion for this X-Files revival.

The last time we checked in with Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in the 2008 film The X-Files: I Want to Believe they were very much a couple and living under the same roof.

Since The X-Files went off the air in 2002, Anderson has appeared in shows like Hannibal, War and Peace, and starred in BBC cop drama The Fall. He has ideas for more episodes.

The tenth season of “The X-Files” premiered on January 24.

These pieces of information about the upcoming episodes are still unspecific because there were only few sources who actually had the chance to watch the first three episodes and they did not give a lot of details, just a general review. No!’ I don’t remember somebody saying, ‘Okay, now you get to walk alongside him.’ But I imagine it had more to do with my intolerance and spunk than it being an allowance that was made.

This is all well and good; the only problem is we’ve seen this all before…in the original X-Files!

The former couple is called on by TV conspiracy theorist Tad O’Malley (Joel McHale), who has plans to blow open “maybe the most evil conspiracy the world has ever known!”

Mulder is drawn into an investigation regarding alien abductions and government conspiracy; it’s a nod to the mythology-driven episodes of the original series.

The episode told the story of a scientist who suddenly commits suicide, and Mulder and Scully investigated what unseen force may have driven him to it. One reviewer said the second episode was more in line with the series of old. If the first episode is any indication, it was a smart idea to keep the season short with only six episodes because the major fans will forgive what the show lacks but newer fans aren’t so generous.
