Trump Will Skip Next GOP Debate

Fox News issued a matching response to the Republican Donald Trump suggesting that the presidential candidate was scared of facing Megyn Kelly at the debate scheduled to take place on Thursday.

“My only goal is to be professional and to be tough but fair, and if I do that for two hours I’ll be just fine”, she said. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t do the debate”. In challenging Trump to a side debate, he riffed off the billionaire’s famous rejoinder from “The Apprentice”, saying Tuesday evening that if someone didn’t show up for an interview Trump would say, “You’re fired”. Regarding Kelly, Trump told “Good Morning America’s” George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday that, “I don’t think she’s professional at all…She’s very biased against me”. Fox News is brushing off the attacks, even thanking Trump for the attention. You once told a contestant on “Celebrity
Apprentice” it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees.

“We could do it a number of ways, we could have you moderate it, Mark”. The Presidential candidate still made no indication that he would skip the debate. The Republicans go on forever and ever and ever with debates. “If I was mad at work, I don’t just stay home, you know”. “But I wouldn’t do that”.

Almost six months later, Trump is still leading in the polls – and still stewing about Kelly.

Cruz campaign spokesman Rick Tyler blasted Trump’s decision as “erratic” and foolish behaviour from a presidential hopeful, especially considering a large segment of voters say they have not finalized their support for a candidate.

During his Monday interview on CNN, Trump also credited himself with Kelly’s success as a Fox News host. “Blood coming out of her… wherever”. Her biggest career test could come Thursday, when she has to figure out how to deal with someone who is willing to hit below the belt to win an argument. No details about Trump’s plans were immediately available, however.

Kelly addressed the controversy on her prime time show. Trump shot back, saying it was Kelly who should apologize to him.

In a statement, a Fox News spokesperson said Lewandowski told a Fox executive last Saturday that Kelly had a “rough couple of days after that last debate” and he “would hate to have her go through that again”.

Donald Trump has said he is not fearful of anyone. I didn’t know why he was doing that.

Megyn Kelly then asked if that was an appropriate temperament for a president. But I can’t be wooed. “I was never going to love him, and I was never going to hate him”.

Mr Trump responded: “They’re dealing with someone who’s a little bit different”.
