West Ham agree terms to sign worldwide striker

Palace have been linked with several strikers this month and Sky Sports report that Fenerbahce forward Emenike has joined that list. It is understood West Ham will ask for confirmation that the deal can go ahead at the meeting on Tuesday evening, with the club willing to switch their attentions to Galatasaray’s Burak Yilmaz instead.

Emenike is widely tipped to arrive in England and West Ham United were said to be on the verge of securing his services on a loan deal till the end of the season.

The 28-year-old, who has been on loan at Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates this season, will certainly be familiar to Bilic having faced him on a number of occasions.

“Yilmaz is a very good footballer”, the manager said.

Former Hull and Everton striker Nikica Jelavic is also reportedly considering leaving the club.

With Andy Carroll out injured once again, West Ham are keen to dip into the transfer market for a replacement, but Bilic says there is no deal in place yet.

West Ham are likely to then pursue highly-rated Marseille and Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi in the summer.
