Davis expects to play in Super Bowl

The Panthers linebacker broke his right forearm in Sunday’s 49-15 win over the Cardinals in the NFC championship game.

There is no significant information released regarding Davis’ injury but on an Instagram post from his wife last Monday, it seems like the former Georgia Bulldog is set to undergo surgery. The veteran linebacker held his arm as he walked off to the locker room and was later seen on the sideline with his arm in a sling. But it would be a surprise if Allen isn’t on the field come Super Bowl Sunday. “It was painful”, Davis said.

On the other hand, it could be interpreted as a long-term statement, just saying that Davis’ career is not over, but that the only question is whether or not he’ll be back in two weeks for the Super Bowl or in a few months for the 2016 training camp and OTAs. “I have no doubt that, that as long as everything continues to heal like it’s supposed to, he’ll be out there”. “If it is at all possible I know they are going to get me back and I will do my part to make sure I’m ready”.

According to the club’s official website Davis had already completed six tackles with two of them behind the line of scrimmage. Having Davis at practice has given the Panthers a little extra motivation as they install their game plan before leaving Sunday for Santa Clara, Calif.

“If it comes down to a pain tolerance and playing through it, I’ll be there”. “Three ACLs. Broken fingers”.

“I don’t put it past Thomas”, Panthers defensive tackle Kawann Short said. It hasn’t stopped him yet. “I think they will have to take all of his jerseys away – all five of them, and even the ones at home”.
