Pro Bowl replaces 14 players, including 3 Vikings, from Super Bowl teams
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Panthers All-Pro linebacker Thomas Davis isn’t anxious about his broken arm affecting his tackling ability in the Super Bowl.

“It hurt, and it was painful”, Davis said. “It hasn’t changed. I’m still looking forward to playing in the Super Bowl”.
Davis was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2015, an honor he and his nine Panthers teammates had to bypass to prepare for the Super Bowl.
Davis said coming back this quick is not a selfish attempt so he doesn’t miss his first and perhaps only chance to play in the Super Bowl.
After three ACL surgeries, a little broken arm is apparently nothing to Thomas Davis. On top of that, Davis will have people running into his arm and falling on top of it all game should he play. Now in his 11th season out of Georgia, Davis collected 105 regular season tackles, tied for the third-highest total of his career, as well as 5.5 sacks, a new best. “I just had surgery on Monday, but at the same time it’s been getting better and better everyday, and thatâs the goal, continue to get better all the way up until next Sunday”.
Even without Davis, the Panthers managed to finish the game with seven takeaways six of those on defense. It hasn’t stopped him before. At the age of 32, he’s already suffered three torn ACLs, and he has come back each and every time. “I don’t put it past Thomas”, Short said.
The Panthers opened as a 5.5-point betting favorite in Las Vegas immediately after their romp over the Cardinals, but the line slipped to 4.5 points within a few hours – at least in part as the potential impact of Davis’ injury.

Rivera said safety Roman Harper is scheduled to see an eye doctor soon after being forced to leave the game on Sunday.
