Donald Trump Says He’ll Boycott Fox News Debate
Mike Huckabee tweeted Thursday that he will be joining Donald Trump at his veterans event in Iowa, which is scheduled during the Fox News prime-time presidential candidates debate.

His campaign insisted that debate host Fox News crossed a line with a sarcastic statement mocking him and continued to criticize moderator Megyn Kelly.
“If all three presidential candidates show up and Granite Staters overwhelmingly ask for this debate, I find it very hard to believe that a political party could say no to getting their candidate’s voice out”, Spiner said. In Iowa, however, polls suggest he is locked in a tight race with Texas senator Ted Cruz, a favourite of the conservatives and evangelical Christians who hold significant sway in the state’s Republican caucuses.
“I don’t think not showing up at the debate tomorrow night is good for America”, O’Reilly said to Trump on his show.
“We owe it to the men and women of Iowa to ensure that they hear jointly and directly from the two leading Republican candidates so that they may contrast our positions on the critical issues we face as a nation as they make their final choice leading up to Monday’s caucuses”, said Cruz.
Harwood has told the ABC’s 7.30 that he sent a note to Kelly following Trump’s withdrawal.
Other GOP candidates saw Trump’s move as a welcome opportunity to emerge from the long shadow the billionaire has cast over the race, while also hoping it might damage his standing with Iowa voters.
The anchor’s question about sexism at the first Fox debate in August led to an extended confrontation where Trump claimed he was being treated unfairly. “Apparently, Megyn Kelly is really, really scary, and Donald is a fragile soul”, Cruz said.
People like Jeb Bush who were expected to bag the Republican nominations are getting single digit backing from Republicans while Donald Trump seems to be galloping ahead.
With 48 hours to go before the faceoff, campaign manager Corey Lewandowski confirmed Trump’s decision Tuesday evening after a press conference in which Trump lashed out at Kelly and said she’d been “toying” with him.
Fox News has even accused Mr Trump’s team of threatening her. Rand Paul, who was relegated to the undercard event in the last debate.
O’Reilly told Trump he’s making a big mistake.
“If offered, @IAVA will decline donations from Trump’s event”.
“We’re going to raise a lot of money for the veterans”. “I don’t think Iowa will care”.

Further, if elected, Trump would have to deal with much worse than tough questions from Kelly, O’Reilly said.
