Meet Nano, the woman who thinks she is a cat. Really
The Norwegian woman, identified as Nano realised this when she was 16, and has since been living her life as a cat. “Under my birth there was a genetic defect”, she explains in her YouTube video.

Like cats, Nano does not like water.
She’s then seen on her hands and knees, crawling around on the floor before going up to the window and looking out longingly as she paws at the wall and whimpers like a frustrated feline.
Nano says her super-sensitive “cat hearing” permits her to hear things we humans can not, such as “keys clinking in pockets” and ‘suitcases rolling on the ground’.
“It’s also obvious that I’m a cat when I start purring and meowing”, she explains.
Since coming out as “born in the wrong species”, Nano hisses at dogs she walks past, meows at strangers, hates water, and claims to be able to see in the dark. Maybe. If she runs into trouble, she can always just… speak like a human, as she demonstrated by giving an interview explaining her cat-ness.
Nano (it’s not clear if that is her cat name or her human name) also shares that she loves to sleep in the sink and on the windowsill. “She likes to choose which elements of cat-like behavior she exhibits as it’s all a plea for attention”, one person wrote. Nano is adorable. There’s only one problem – Nano isn’t a cat. “I have been running a lot after animals that can be seen in the shadows”.
When asked what distinguishes her from normal human beings, Nano claims that she can see and hear things that most humans cannot.
Her friend Svien said: “Suddenly I start meowing or she does”.

The young woman said her life as a cat was “exhausting” but she doesn’t want to live as a human. “My psychologist told me I can grow out of it, but I doubt it”.
