Wenger confident Arsenal will land Nwakali, Chukwueze
Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have got a fresh round in and they’re braced for an imminent new signing, with a player confirming his move.

Nwakali, an attacking midfielder, was the player of the Under-17 World Cup in Chile previous year, which Nigeria won, and at which his team-mate Chukwueze, a winger, also impressed.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference this morning ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Burnley, Wenger confirmed to reporters that talks are progressing well and the Arsenal boss is hoping to resolve work permit issues in time to wrap-up the deals before Monday night’s deadline. “[If we can], we will do it. Chukwueze is signing as well.” . “Do I expect them to be done this month? Yes”.
Football Insider revealed last week that Arsenal’s double deal for Nwakali and and teenage countryman Samuel Chukwueze was “99 per cent done” after a £4million deal was accepted by the players’ academy in Nigeria.
Wenger said: “Talks are progressing well”.
The France defender has been linked Aston Villa and Sunderland and Wenger says he is free to leave: “He might go but I don’t know where at the moment. Welbeck still needs some training but he is back in full training”.
“Elneny is naturally a box-to-box player but is more defensive minded than your usual box-to-box player so he can play in both positions”.

“Hernandez? Unless people go out, we are not on the verge of bringing anyone in”, he added. “A decision has to be made quickly now”.
