Nintendo NX Will Reportedly Be a Console and a Handheld

According to IHS Technology senior principal analyst Hiroshi Hayase, “a small recovery in shipments of flat-panel displays for game devices because of Nintendo’s new game hardware expected to be released in 2016” is expected. Just what those expectations might be is anybody’s guess but at least we have confirmation that the console truly is taking shape.

Nintendo’s Virtual Console service for the Wii U has been running since 2013, and Game Boy Advance support has been running since 2014, but one of Nintendo’s most significant third-party supporters has finally joined the game.

That Nintendo would launch a handheld and console that works together is already a pretty interesting and thought-provoking assertion.

“That has been corroborated by Taipei Times, who summarise Lu’s comments on the topic as: “…the company’s major client is developing a new platform for its video game device this year, which could provide a boost to the company’s business”. Hayase expects manufacturing of displays ranging from 3.1 to five inches will increase to 16.5 million units this year, which is up from 14.1 million units last year.

It is also observed in the survey that “gameplay flows between Nintendo NX console and Nintendo NX handheld”. It’s probable that you will be able to take it anywhere.

It’s fairly obvious that no secret information can ever stay hushed up too long as recent rumors regarding the company’s intentions suggest that portable gaming is receiving a new home from Nintendo. And, Mario Smash Bros is included among them.
