NRL advisor on women’s issues Professor Catharine Lumby spearheaded the chorus of people calling out the Roosters management to have Pearce sacked.

Pearce was stood down from Roosters training after a video showing Pearce engaging in a lewd act involving a dog on Australia Day aired on the Nine Network on Wednesday night.
The NRL is under pressure to deregister Pearce over the latest incident at a boozy house party in which he allegedly attempted to force himself on a woman, simulated sex with a dog and urinated on himself.
Liney lineys is believed to be a drug reference.
A spokesman for the NRL said the text message had been passed on to the Integrity Unit.
The text message exchange also indicates that Pearce did not know the person that filmed him prior to Australia Day.
‘Thinking about sending it to the Daily Mail to end his career’.
Early on Friday afternoon, a clearly shaken Pearce fronted reporters. Wait humping the dog?’
P2: Sounds like an absolute pig is Cyn friends with him?
– No none of us were – they were with us at the oak and they were pretty normal – giving out liney lineys and then they jumped a cab with me back to hers and went f–ing ape shit!
‘Jack just sat there filming it all’.
Roosters recruits Dale Copley and Jayden Nikorima are also facing sanctions from the club. My behaviour was unacceptable, I am embarrassed and I take full responsibility for my actions.
“It is not an excuse but it is a realisation that I need help”.
“Together with the club I am working on a solution for me to address these issues and it will come out in the next couple of days”.
Roosters coach Trent Robinson says the club will be taking action over the next couple of days.
Pearce, the son of rugby league legend and NRL commissioner Wayne Pearce, looks certain to miss the trip to England for the World Club Series game against St Helens at Langtree Park on 19 February.

Pearce’s comments suggest he could undergo an alcohol rehabilitation program and it’s likely he will at least face a lengthy suspension and a hefty fine as well as losing the Roosters’ co-captaincy.
