Facing down a 17 lb. weight gain in just one summer a year ago, Oprah Winfrey got a call from Weight Watchers at the flawless time.

Her willingness to change is what made Winfrey the ideal spokesperson for Weight Watchers, even when some people criticized her announcement video because, they argue, that with chefs and trainers at her disposal, she doesn’t really understand the struggle of trying to lose weight. “I lost 26 pounds and I have eaten bread every single day”.

Following Oprah’s carb confession, Weight Watchers stock went up 20 percent, closing at $13.29 a share.

When she joined the company, the share price rose by a staggering 100$ and saw another spike later that month when she told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres she had lost 15 pounds thanks to the weight-loss program.

“This is the joy for me, I love bread”, Winfrey shared in her Tuesday Tweet regarding her progress in the program.

She’s thrilled now to have this success after years of attempting different diets.

“I ” ll know what it is when I get there”, predicted Oprah of refusing to set a goal weight.

Winfrey announced that she was collaborating with Weight Watchers on a business deal last October 19, 2015. “The difference for me is I have made the shift to this is the way I am going to live for the rest of my life”.

Winfrey also took to Twitter to share her story in a short video in which she said she no longer criticizes herself for her wrong food choices, and instead applauding herself for every time she decides not to give up.

Winfrey admitted that overeating, unlike other bad habits, is a visible flaw that people can immediately see because of its physical effects.
