The Ministry of Home Affairs, in the affidavit, said Chief Minister Nabam Tuki and Speaker Nabam Rebia have been playing communal politics against the Governor, who in his reports had recommended imposition of President’s Rule in the state by elaborating the sequence of events leading the Congress Government becoming a minority.

BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha on Saturday differed with his party’s decision of imposing President’s rule in Arunachal Pradesh.
The affidavit filed by the home ministry said: “Arunachal Pradesh is a strategically located state in North East India from the security perspective, apart from being a mineral-rich state”.
Arunachal Pradesh Governor J.P. Rajkhowa had submitted his reply to the apex court yesterday in which he had claimed that former chief minister Nabam Tuki and his ministers had made it impossible for him to discharge his duties.
“Governor and his family are apprehending grave danger to their lives”.
Vadakkan was referring to the several reports Rajkhowa sent to the President, regarding the law and order situation in the state. “Therefore, in either case, the state is heading for a constitutional crisis”. “NSCN(K) is an unlawful organisation under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967, and involving it in matters of government formation/majority etc is extremely unsafe”, the affidavit said.
After the meeting, party leaders had indicated that they would raise the issue in Parliament and seek the support of other political parties too.

It is also learnt that the Centre will give five points to justify the governor’s recommendation. “Arunachal Pradesh is a strategically-located state in the Northeast from the security perspective, apart from being a mineral-rich state”.
