Rihanna Premieres Long-Awaited New Album on Tidal Streaming Service

Rihanna first indicated the album’s imminent release earlier this week when she posted a photo of herself wearing Dolce & Gabbana headphones on Twitter with the caption “Listening to Anti”. On Wednesday, she offered another glimpse of the record, returning to the social-media platform to debut her first single, “Work”.

What is even more interesting is that “Work” is the lead single on “ANTI”. This is a month before the celebrity’s ANTI World Tour Kicks off in San Diego.

As if that number weren’t staggering enough, Samsung bought one million copies of the new Rihanna album to give away to fans for free, and those have all been redeemed.

Rihanna, pictured at the 2nd Annual Diamond Ball on December 10, 2015 in Santa Monica, California, released her new album “Anti” exclusively on Tidal. On Friday, a deluxe edition of the album will be released, which will feature three bonus tracks.

Work” is the first single off of Rihanna’s highly-anticipated eighth studio album “ANTI”. The tour will also feature Travis Scott and The Weekend.

Moments later, Rihanna tweeted the album could be downloaded for free with code “anti”.

In January a year ago, there was FourFiveSeconds with Kanye West and Paul McCartney, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, followed by Bitch Better Have My Money in March (No. 15) and American Oxygen (No. 78) the next month. Neither track is included on the new album. Anti was initially expected to drop last May or June, but it wasn’t until October when she finally released the cover art.

While the gift download period has now expired, the album is still available for streaming on TIDAL; since last night, ANTI has already been streamed almost 14 million times.
