Year-old’s death: Delhi Police assures to act against those responsible
Ram Heth Meena, the father of six-year-old boy Devansh Meena who allegedly died after drowning in the sewage water tank of the Ryan International School in South Delhi, alleged that when he was inquiring for his missing son, he was threatened by the school authority. Just three days back, another Class I student, a four-yearold boy, died after falling in a septic tank in his school run by the corporation in southwest Delhi’s Kapashera area. Divyansh Kakrora, 6, was found floating inside the pit that is used as a water tank. It is under the amphitheatre in the school’s playground.

Police sources said the incident took place around noon and that school authorities did not inform the police immediately.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Premnath said that the police were informed around 2.40 pm. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has assured to take action against those responsible. The Delhi government has asked the area’s district magistrate to probe the death. “We are probing the case”, he said. I want action against them. There was a poetry competition in school that is why the child was here.
The child’s parents alleged a conspiracy saying they were informed of his death by the hospital and not by school authorities. The school principal however denied the charge.
