Regarding her hair colour and style in the film, Katrina said that it was the director’s idea “with a symbolic connection”. “I am like every woman, when you are working you want to be spoken about your career…your work. It is a kind of slightly sensationalised piece of news that comes out and gets highlighted, which turns out to be baseless”, Katrina told IANS in a telephonic interview from Mumbai. So, she ended up recruiting a London-based hair colouring expert.

Katrina feels that love stories always work for her and said, “The USP of the film is its fantastic and powerful theme of first love”. Lol, I don’t think I even need to answer that. Any Indian stylist could’ve done this job (maybe even better or suggested her not to do it cuz it doesn’t suit her) but that’s not the point, The point is which Producer would’ve paid an Indian stylist 55 lakh to do the job?? “It was a symbolic connection as the colour red signifies passion, love and fire”, the “Phantom” actress said.
