Cam Newton Won’t Dance Around the Criticism
On the Carolina Panthers’ 15-1 journey through the regular season, along with two playoff wins this season, many football fans have expressed their dislike for Cam Newton.

Newton said he hasn’t changed, and has previously responded to his critics. I think that’s a great celebration right there.
Newton won the Heisman Trophy and led Auburn to a national championship in 2010.
Panthers coach Ron Rivera doesn’t believe Newton wants race to be a factor in how he is assessed.
“It’s a resilient attitude, that says we won’t settle”, Newton said.
Playing the Panthers, especially with the momentum they are riding, is a stiff task since they only lost once this season and that was in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons. “Even when he gets a first down he doesn’t do anything”. “I’m an African-American quarterback”, Newton said. I’m a firm believer in my religion.
On the surface this looks like a petty attempt for attention, but who knows?
Thankfully, Newton isn’t going to allow the haters to change who he is.
“Great preparation”, Newton said. “Because of where we sat, we had a close up view of your conduct in the fourth quarter”, she explained. A soon-to-be NFL MVP.Does he show off after a first down? It would be a surprise if Newton wasn’t announced as the victor.
“He has always strived to have that separation”, Rivera said.
Cam Newton was exhausted of walking on the eggshells, so on Wednesday he made a decision to treat them the way he does defenders near the goal line – doing him, giving caution the middle finger and crushing them.
“I don’t think people have seen what I am or what I’m trying to do”. Nothing has pretty much changed.
He added: “They talk about maturity with me; they talk about skill set with this team”. Nobody has changed. This is the same Jericho Cotchery. The same Jerricho Cotchery, the same Philly Brown, the same Cam Newton.

“I’m an African-American quarterback that scares people because they haven’t seen nothing that they can compare me to”, said the 6-foot-5, 245-pound Newton. I have seen him interact as easily and frequently with children as any athlete I’ve ever been around. But people are going to judge and have their own opinion on certain things that I don’t have control over. “I’m not living for anybody else”.
