Interestingly, all reports have claimed that the launch will happen a few days before the Mobile World Congress event, on the 20 of February, when Samsung will hold the Galaxy Unpacked event. Before the S6, Samsung launched its Exynos processors exclusively in Asian markets and shipped Qualcomm chips everywhere else. The show starts on the 22nd, so the idea is for Samsung to get MWC’s biggest launch over before things officially start.

The leaked image also indicated that Samsung will produce a 5.1-inch model of the Galaxy S7 when it is ultimately released.

It’s reported that LG G5 will not pack a non-removable battery, unlike the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy series.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will apparently borrow a feature that first debuted on the Galaxy S5 in 2014. The new smartphones will look like the Galaxy S6.

On the photography front, Samsung is said to be opting for a 12-megapixel snapper (down from 16-megapixel), but accompanied by a larger f/1.7 lens aperture that is said to be very capable in low light conditions. You can expect power-packed performance from the phone having a 4,300mAH battery. Of course, integrated support for> a href=”http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2016/01/samsung-pay-already-has-more-than-one-aussie-bank-on-board/” *Samsung Pay, launching in Australia this year, is an obvious inclusion. It would have the features and design that the company would also use in the flagship Galaxy Note 6, when it launches the phablet sometime in August or September.
