Who won Thursday’s GOP presidential debate?

At the event, Trump was joined by two other Republican presidential candidates, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum, who interestingly were the winners of the last two Iowa caucuses.

“It is a debate, sir”, was Wallace’s response. Using clips from Trump’s interviews, campaign speeches and past debates, Colbert shows the discrepancy in Trump’s strong opinions while asking him about Ted Cruz, Iowa and Hillary Clinton. She said she has been deciding between Rubio and Republican Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon.

The network accused a member of Trump’s campaign team of wielding a threat against Kelly that suggested she should ask more fair questions of the presidential candidate this time around. Trump said if he is elected President “we’re going to stick up for the rights of the country”.

Trump boycotted the Fox News debate – the final one before the Iowa caucuses – because he objected to host Megyn Kelly and the network’s treatment of him.

Hundreds of voters are awaiting Trump’s arrival in Nashua, New Hampshire on Friday, for a rally scheduled less than 12 hours after the Fox News debate he opted to skip, claiming he was treated unfairly by the network at their August debate. Ted Cruz is Trump’s biggest threat. Fox News made the debate available to stream for free on its site, and other Republican debates have seen an average of 815,000 streamers. Both have been accused of shifting their stances on legalising some of those in the United States covertly, a position opposed by many party voters.

“Now, Ted Cruz may not be a US citizen, right?”

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush has been a frequent Trump target.

With 24 million viewers up for grabs, Stephen Colbert chose to go after them as hard as he could. “And if we capture them alive, we’re sending them to Guantanamo”. “They called me. They want me there very badly”.

He also said the Texas senator got “pummeled last night” at the GOP presidential debate.

The next most popular candidate among Wisconsin Republicans is Marco Rubio, who earned 18 percent of support in the Marquette University Law School poll released Thursday.

Bush now sits middle of the pack in polls nationally and in Iowa and New Hampshire at around 4 percent. “Once this ball started rolling, we couldn’t stop it”. He scheduled the benefit for veterans charities, which he said raised $6 million, in an attempt to counterprogram the debate and recapture the media spotlight after refusing to participate in the debate because of a tiff with Fox.
