IPhone 7 “Breakthrough”: Wireless Charging Technology
Google’s Android platform is doing well in emerging markets and Apple is looking to the new iPhone 5SE which will be cheaper than their current models to compete.

Aside from wireless charging, rumors have also surfaced previous year that the upcoming iPhone may no longer have the 3.55 mm headphone jack to give way to an all-in-one lightning connector, MacRumors reported. Sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that the company was working with its partners to develop a new long-range wireless charging technology. That includes loss of power over distance, meaning that further a device is away from the receiver, the longer it takes batteries to charge.
A couple of months ago, we came across an Apple patent pointing towards inductive charging technology without using any external hardware. It’s similar to the technology used in the Apple Watch, though the wearable’s wireless charging capabilities are on a scale of millimeters.
In the face of analyst claims that we’ve finally reached peak iPhone, Apple’s interest in exploring new and innovative mobile technologies remains as vibrant as ever.
Bloomberg also said that Trudy Muller, a spokeswoman for Apple, declined to comment when contacted.
Rival companies already have wireless charging as standard and you would think that Apple are now working out the necessities required for the iPhone to follow suit. But these devices need to be put near or on charging mats.

At the moment, any device that uses wireless charging usually has to be touching a pad. Apple was granted a patent for such a method in 2015. If Apple succeed with genuine wireless charging into future products, that’ll help the company further stand apart from competition.
