According to that invitation, Google is offering access to the Google Fiber Phone trial via its Fiber Trusted Tester program, which gives customers “early access to confidential products and features”.

Since its debut, it has become one of the most sought-after broadband services in the United States; and cities desire and request, sometimes beg for Google Fiber to come to their bailiwick – and the main reason of course is the service’s high-speed internet and competitive pricing.

With the arrival of the Google Fiber for Phone service, the users can now own a single number which would work across all their devices.

Fiber Phone will require a service visit and the installation of some new equipment as well as switching – or porting an existing number – to “a phone number that lives in the cloud”. And if you’ve been aware of what is happening with Google for the past few years, the news about Google Fiber Phone is no longer surprising. Google will be providing services like voice, data, and television.

One of the biggest agents of change in the world of technology, Google has managed to bring out several changes in recent times. “If you’re selected for this Trusted Tester group, we’ll be actively seeking your feedback – both good and bad – so that we can improve Fiber Phone once we launch it”, Google says in the invitation. Currently, Google Fiber Phone is only available to those who have been invited to partake in the program. What this means is that they also get a phone service alongside their gigabit internet connection from Google.

And you’ll also have to keep your participation in the program hush-hush.

The new feature will include a voicemail service which could transcribe the messages to be sent over e-mail. The service has been available for quite some time, and will soon be made available to all the users. Reports suggest the company has begun toying with adding an additional phone service. Google only welcomed clients who joined its Trusted Tester plan, which is basically the opt-in try out version.
