The Division Beta extended until Tuesday February 2; More invites sent out

The reason, Ubisoft wrote in their announcement, is to allow latecomers an opportunity to get a game.

Ubisoft took to its forums to advise that Tom Clancy’s The Division closed beta has been extended by one day. Ubisoft issued an update to players yesterday explaining the beta is in very high demand and that it is doing its best to grant access to players on the waitlist.

The Division’s closed beta launched on Xbox One last Thursday and on PS4 and PC on Friday.

This means that new official Division beta end time will be on Tuesday, February 2nd, at 3am Pacific Time, 6am Eastern Time and 11am United Kingdom time.

Initially scheduled to end on 1 February 2016, the beta has now been extended to 2 February 2016, with digital gates shuttering at 1pm SAST.

Up to now, Ubisoft had been inviting as many as possible without disrupting other peoples’ experiences.

To give more people a chance, the company said it had started sending beta invites to “as many players as possible”.

Players who have beta access can expect to see a small part of the map playable in Tom Clancy’s The Division, in which they will be exploring post-apocalyptic NY streets. There’s no guarantee you’ll get access, but with the 24 hour extension you still have a chance.
