Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed England midfielder Wilshere is not expected to return until mid-March.

However, Wenger’s dismissed these claims and says he expects Wilshere to return to action for the Gunners within four weeks.

“Wilshere has not suffered a setback – that is wrong information”, said Wenger. I had a short chat with Roy Hodgson about him and reassured him that he is progressing well.

The Mirror has reported Wenger saying in his press conference today that he did not know how long Rosicky would be out for but I have seen other reports suggesting six weeks.

The 23-year-old has already missed the majority of this season after a broken fibula and subsequent surgery, but had looked to be returning to full training.

Wenger also paid tribute to John Terry after the Chelsea defender announced he will leave Chelsea after the club chose to not to offer him a new contract.

“He was a real leader and he had a great career as well, let’s not forget that”.

Wenger also explained that he’s assured England manager, Roy Hodgson, that Jack Wilshere’s recovery is still going to plan.

“He was the symbol of cohesion inside Chelsea’s club because him, [Frank] Lampard, [Didier] Drogba and Cech were the players who carried the club’s values for long periods. He will remain in football, I’m sure”. “I thought there would be much more activity but finally it has been quite and the fact we are all here means it is still quiet”. Somebody can knock at your door.
