Worldwide usage of Windows 10 after six calendar months (since August) was 13.7% compared to 5.0% for Windows 8 and 13.5% for Windows 7 at their initial half year stage (Table A). This shows that Microsoft’s Windows 10 is witnessing growth and has the potential to do better.

Following the poor reception to Windows 8, Microsoft is eager to prove that its successor, Windows 10, is an appealing and user-friendly operating system.

Microsoft was likely hoping XP would see single market-share digits by now, given that the company ended support for the ancient operating system in April 2014.

The company has had a great year in 2015, and one of their most notable launches of the year 2015 has been that of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL devices.
When we said that Lumia – Dead Edition is the cross on Windows Phone’s grave, it was not a joke at all.
The news will be a boost to Microsoft, as it aims to get as many people to upgrade as possible.

Meanwhile, a Lumia X phone is also rumored to be the upcoming Surface Phone which was accidentally disclosed by Microsoft China, reported IBTimes.
