Modi Govt. thrashing students for protesting against RSS: Rahul Gandhi
Shweta Raj, a PhD student from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), had never seen such brutality. A group of students were marching towards the RSS headquarters in Delhi in a low key protest when they were accosted by the cops of Delhi Police, who started beating them ruthlessly.

Rahul said when he tried to retrieve his camera, “they pushed lathis into my stomach”. “Forget gender, they treated each one of us in the most inhuman manner”.
The AAP and the Congress on Monday hit out at the central government after a video showed Delhi Police attacking viciously students protesting against a Dalit student’s suicide in Hyderabad. The notice also questions the lack of lady police officers at the protest site.
The AAP leader said Delhi Police owes an explanation for the “attack”. There is a way to deal with protesters.
Shweta said the police atrocity was far worse than what was captured in the video clip.
On January 18, 70 students were arrested by the police when they turned up in front of the HRD ministry to protest Vemula’s suicide. Everything happened within a fraction of a second.
Two journalists, who have alleged they were beaten up while covering the protest, claimed the police action was “unprovoked” and that the protesters were beaten up mercilessly.
RSS has, however, denied the allegations.
“No RSS worker was there at that time. Police must have done whatever they found was appropriate”, Rajiv Tuli, in charge of Delhi’s RSS media unit, said.
“We will see if there was any indiscretion”. “Spl CP (Law & Order) has asked the Jt CP Central Range S.K Gautam to look into the incident & submit a report”, the Delhi Police tweeted.
“We will speak to eyewitnesses apart from analyzing the video”, Mr Bassi told reporters.
“Delhi Police RSS as their personal military train and to terrorize training to anybody other BJP/RSS”.
The video, which has now gone viral, shows unarmed students being lathicharged and assaulted by security personnel on 30 January.

Referring to earlier student protests at the Pune-based Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and Hyderabad University, Kejriwal said: “FTII, Rohith case, Hyd Univ, IITs and now brutal attack on Delhi students. Modi govt seems to be at war with students all across”, Kejriwal tweeted.
