Chelsea’s Marco van Ginkel swaps Stoke loan for PSV Eindhoven
Chelsea ace Marco van Ginkel has joined PSV Eindhoven on loan following the arrival of Giannelli Imbula at Stoke City, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.

The 23-year-old had been with the Potters for the first half of the season but his stay was ended early and has now joined Dutch outfit PSV until the end of the campaign.
Van Ginkel moved to the Britannia Stadium on a one-year loan deal at the start of the season, but the midfielder was mainly warming the bench in recent months after losing his starting berth.
“PSV and I have been in touch for a while”.
“PSV and I had been in contact for a long time, they persisted and I felt trusted”, he told PSV’s official site.
“In the beginning, I played a lot at Stoke and then I was only used for the Cup games”.
“I still have two-and-a-half years left on my present deal with Chelsea; although my ultimate aim is to play for Chelsea, now I’m 100 per cent focused on PSV”. “Winning the Eredivisie is the main priority, but there’s also the KNVB Beker and the Champions League”.
Chelsea see a future for Van Ginkel at Stamford Bridge and are not keen on letting him leave on a permanent transfer, but the player feels his chances at Stoke could become limited.

After suffering from a torn cruciate ligament in 2013 and sustaining ankle damage during a stint at AC Milan last term, Van Ginkel would have hoped to gain significant first-team experience during his time with Stoke.
