Miley Cyrus to host the MTV Video Music Awards show
Without her having been invited to the party in the past, there would have been no morning-after conversation at all.

The boards read “MTV won’t let me perform” and “so I’m hosting this year’s VMAs”.
After a headline-making performance with Robin Thicke in 2013, Miley Cyrus is set to host the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards next month. She’s the flawless choice to host the show: The only question is why it hadn’t happened sooner. It also put Cyrus firmly in the spotlight, a position she has not ceded since.
Miley announced the news herself with a couple of photos she posted on her Twitter page on Monday, July 20.
Swifty has received nods in categories including Best Collaboration, Best Female Performance and Video of the Year and she storms ahead of the competition.
In case you don’t remember, Miley raised eyebrows with her risque performance with Robin Thicke at the same awards show in 2013. Some of last year’s VMA nominees included Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys and MGMT with wins from Lorde, Sia and Arcade Fire.
Will there be holography with huge cat heads?
The 2015 VMAs will air live 30 August at 9pm EST on MTV.

It looks like Miley Cyrus is ready to bring the party back to the United States of America once again – but this time, on a much larger scale.
