Jeff Lynne’s ELO to perform at Glastonbury 2016
In previous years, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Shirley Bassey and Paul Simon have performed in that slot. “And those rumours have been Muse, Foo Fighters and Coldplay headlining on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday”.

Frontman Lynne played a major role in the Electric Light Orchestra between 1970 and 1985, bringing fans the likes of “Mr Blue Sky”, and later went on to form the super-group the Traveling Wilburys with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison.
Confirming the news, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis tweeted: “Yes!” We’re not rocket scientists but we think it’s safe to say that an announcement of a Jeff Lynne’s ELO 2016 USA tour is imminent and that it will commence on the west coast.
Lynne officially returned in 2010 under the moniker “Jeff Lynne’s ELO” where they have since had an unprecedented fresh lease of success.
Previously called ELO (Electronic Light Orchestra), the group had 20 UK Top 20 singles from 1972 to 1986 and sold more than 50 million records worldwide.
If you missed out on Glastonbury 2016 tickets, you may get another chance some time in Spring – sorry about the vagueness, this is all that has been officially announced as of yet.

No other acts have been confirmed for this year’s Glastonbury, which will take place between June 22 and June 26.
