Coldplay might have been fans of Bowie, but the same can’t be said vice versa.
The pair head to the Bay area where Chris and his band will perform during the coveted Super Bowl halftime show. “‘We’ve only got about 400 more miles”, he says, before cheerfully adding how much of a good time he’s having. Chris’s understanding of the game may be a little off as he started describing, “You have nine teams ands two balls…”
Elton John has been confirmed as the next Carpool Karaoke guest, which will air after the Super Bowl on Sunday. “Hopefully they might give us one!”
Chris effortlessly imitated both Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger and rock legend Bruce Springsteen. The next day they woke up to find James’ vehicle had been stolen, meaning they chose to travel by tandem bike the rest of the way.

During the supposedly 400 plus mile journey, Martin and Corden, both painfully English, reveal that they don’t know all that much about “American football”.
