Apple’s new headquarters has been in the works for close to a decade, and in recent months it’s finally been starting to come together.

The video was recorded by local videographer Duncan Sinfield using a drone to capture shots of the glass installation and ongoing construction.

With much of the exterior nearing completion, cranes are now lifting parts of the roof into place on the main building, and the roof for the underground auditorium will soon be attached. The solar array on the west parking structure has been completed.

It was originally due to open in 2015 but a series of delays meant construction only got under way a year ago.

The 2.8 million square foot complex is designed by designed by British architect Norman Foster and will house more than 13,000 Apple employees once finished.

Sky News reported that the project will cost in the region of $5 billion, and was supported by late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
