Arsene Wenger: What I really think about Arsenal’s draw with Southampton
Arsène Wenger blamed poor finishing for the goalless draw with Southampton that leaves Arsenal five points off the top of the Premier League.

The incident occurred after Wenger shouted towards referee Lee Mason, with the Arsenal manager attempting to confront him.
‘If you knew a world class striker who could strengthen our team you should have told me before the transfer deadline was over, ‘ said Wenger.
“The most disappointing thing is that some players missed chances that they usually take”.
Arsenal have failed to score in their last three EPL games and Wenger says his side needs to improve their finishing, starting against Bournemouth on Sunday.
Bizarrely Wenger opted to bring on midfielder Francis Coquelin for Mathieu Flamini in the final minutes of another frustrating night – before getting involved in an exchange of words with his Dutch counterpart after the game.
“We battled through and found a way to break them but every time we had a good chance, it just became clear that only one goal could separate us. It is not ideal to drop two points at home but it was one of those games where we deserved more”.
Arsenal are five points behind Leicester who top the table with 50 points.
The England worldwide has now kept four consecutive clean sheets since returning to the side from a career-threatening knee injury.
“They are already at a big club and under contract and not available”.
It’s true that we’ve had a stuttering start in 2016. Their most recent victory came at Manchester United when new signing Charlie Austin enjoyed a dream debut by coming off the bench to score the only goal. “We need to respond quickly away from home now”.
“Leicester won again, and now I am sure everyone will take them very seriously, especially in the media, so they will be under pressure”, he said.

“But there is a long way to go and there is always a twist in the tail so you keep working hard every day and try to keep getting results”. That was massive and sometimes you need that goalkeeping and sometimes you need that luck.
