Ted Cruz Lashes Out at Marco Rubio, Donald Trump After Iowa Win
“His lead in the Iowa polls did not result in the lead after voting took place”, Knotts said.

“Both campaigns have something to celebrate with late nights results”. But just like Clinton, Sanders also claimed a victory out of Iowa.
Scott added, “We have a shot in 2016 to beat Hillary Clinton”.
Mrs. Clinton’s campaign took a belated victory lap after The A.P. put the final delegate tally in its candidate’s favor, but Mr. Sanders, who has an army of small-dollar donors, is favored in New Hampshire by double digits in some polls, and his strong finish in Iowa has only energized his base.
Trump decided not to participate in the last Republican party debate, opting out of the nationally televised clash over a woman anchor he calls “biased”.
“This is a chance for America to change in a way that a lot of people have been yearning for and have not yet seen”, said Ben Erkan of Seattle. “I love dealing with them, really all the people in the campaign”.
For the moment, at least, Rubio is wearing the crown of the so-called establishment Republican contender – the answer to the prayers of many in the GOP leadership as an antidote to lightning rods Sen.
Texas senator Ted Cruz sought to lock in his spot at the top of the Republican field, while Florida senator Marco Rubio also did well in Iowa. “And he hasn’t. So now it’s time for him to man-up, and step-up and stop letting all of his handlers write his speeches and handle him ’cause that’s what they do”, Christie said.
In a further blow Trump, who has previously tweeted “no one remembers second place”, was almost beaten into third place by Marco Rubio.
But Cruz’s superior ground game made the difference in besting the Donald by three percentage points – 27.7% to 24.3%.
“We believe in Ted. He does what he says”, said Vanessa Amundson who traveled from Camas to be a part of the volunteer operation along with Debbie Sabin from Federal Way.
Ohio Governor John Kasich, endorsed by The New York Times for the Republican nomination, has campaigned for weeks in New Hampshire and has pulled to second place behind Trump in some voter surveys in the state.
“He’s a good campaigner”.
Fans interviewed before the rally said Trump’s loss did not bother them.
The result in the Democratic caucus could not have been much tighter.
Sanders celebrated his stronger-than-expected showing in Iowa, landing at dawn in Bow and addressing a hardy group of supporters who met him. Clinton reportedly won six of the six tosses, albeit in competitions for county delegates, who are less important overall.

In the 10 election cycles from 1976 to 2012, the Iowa caucus has predicted one Republican president, George W. Bush (2000), and two Democratic presidents, Jimmy Carter (1976) and Barack Obama (2008).
