A flood watch is in effect for Carroll, Baltimore and Harford counties, according to the National Weather Service.

Due to a combination of snowmelt and expected rainfall, small creek and stream flooding is possible Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night in the region, officials warned.
Minor to moderate river flooding is likely in the Raritan and Passaic river basins as between three-quarters and 1.5 inches of rain will drop on New Jersey by Thursday morning.
The storm system will likely begin to move through the area starting around 11 a.m. Most of the afternoon will be cloudy and wet with on-and-off again periods of rain. The majority of the region will see rainfall amounts between one half and one inch, but some places may see between one and two inches. Flooding of urban areas and streams, some of which may still be covered in ice, is possible.
A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.

And today’s temperature is expected to reach a high of 63 degrees, according to the NWS. Monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
