In the second quarter, Hilton was initially credited with a 51-yard touchdown catch from Derek Carr, but it was overturned on review.

The original quarterbacks selected for the game in the combination of fan, player and coach voting were Tom Brady of the New England Patriots, Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers, Carson Palmer of the Arizona Cardinals, Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers, Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks.

Team Irvin wasted little time getting the lead back to 14 points on a 50-yard touchdown pass from Minnesota’s Teddy Bridgewater to Tampa Bay’s Allen Robinson, Dan Bailey hitting the PAT to make it 35-21.

Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston then connected on two touchdown passes of his own for Team Irvin, before Tyrod Taylor ended the scoring for Team Rice with a 31 yard hook up to Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry.

“When you’re going through your season, never think down on yourself because anything is possible, “Winston said in looking back at his inaugural pro campaign while in Hawaii preparing for the Pro Bowl”.

This is Wilson’s third Pro Bowl appearance, and the first time he took the MVP award.
