Voters will either receive their ballot by mail or electronically, depending on their chosen method of delivery. “This new system will make voting by mail easier than ever by letting voters request an absentee ballot with the click of a mouse”.

Ziriax said the new system is convenient and secure and reminded voters that it is a felony to submit a false or fraudulent absentee ballot application. You still have to have your ballot notarized then mailed in by the deadline.
Another about 203,000 domestic voters will have ballots mailed out near February 9.
Absentee ballots may be voted during regular office hours, 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Office mailed a total of 1,579 ballots to absent military and overseas voters January 29 for the March 15 Presidential Preference Primary and Municipal Elections.

Corley said elections officials have experienced sustained growth in vote-by-mail requests in recent years.
