Presidential race moves to New Hampshire

The Kentucky senator was the second Republican candidate, behind former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, to drop out of the race since Monday’s night’s Iowa caucuses.

Was this the beginning of a kinder, gentler Trump?

Donald Trump isn’t taking losing the Iowa caucuses lightly.

Cruz’s campaign dismissed Trump’s claims with humor.

“To tell you the truth, the Iowa caucus is so complicated, it’s not 100 percent sure that we didn’t win it”, Sanders told Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie on TODAY Wednesday.

The conservative Weekly Standard notes that many political observers thought Trump would benefit from the record turnout in Iowa, which would probably not include large numbers of evangelical Christians based on 2012’s caucus.

In a series of tweets, Donald Trump has accused Sen.

He concluded by calling for a redo of the caucuses or for Cruz’s win to be ruled invalid.

“People didn’t talk about my second place [finish]”, he said.

Meanwhile, during his remarks in Keene to an audience of over 1,100, Sanders, who calls himself a democratic socialist, said to cheers was “perhaps the most progressive member of the United States Senate”.

“I hope you will think hard about which person can do all parts of the job, who can be both a president and a commander-in-chief on day one”, Hillary Clinton said.

Trump also attacked Cruz from the stump on Tuesday night, bashing the Canadian-born senator’s honesty, Business Insider reported. “If I had to do it again, I would have done the exact same thing”, he insisted.

The months-long presidential contest kicked into high gear Wednesday, with Democratic and Republican debates this week building up to next week’s primary in New Hampshire.

Cruz charged that Rubio led the fight for “amnesty” for immigrants in the country illegally. “No candidate who has finished below third place has ever gone on to win the White House”, she said. Cruz’s campaign asked supporters to share that news with Carson fans before they cast ballots.

Trump also said Cruz told voters that Trump supported Obamacare – the ultimate sin among Republican voters – which Trump called “a total lie!”
