Honda BR-V Compact SUV Unveiled
Greater Noida: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Wednesday launched 110 cc bike NAVI at the Auto Expo here as it aims to cross 50 lakh unit sales in the country this year aided by the production at its fourth plant in Gujarat. Developed exclusively for the Asian market by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co.

The company also showcased its flagship sedan Honda Accord at the motor show.

In India Honda motorcycles will offer the Africa Twin with the recently updated 998cc parallel twin. using a 8-valve valvetrain, the liuid cooled motorcycle also features a lightweight steel semi-double frame. In order to further accelerate growth in this important market, Honda is committed to continue providing challenging products, which are unique to Honda and exceed our customers’ expectation.
Built on the extended Brio platform, the 7-seater Honda BR-V will compete against some really capable products such as Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.
Speaking at the occasion, Katsushi Inoue, President and CEO Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) said in 2015 the company achieved a record sales of two lakh units in a calender year. According to Honda, the Project 2&4 concept auto provides freedom of a motorcycle while keeping intact the ease of maneuverability of a vehicle.

Also displayed at the HCIL pavilion, is the concept model Honda Project 2&4 powered by RC213V created to fuse together the values of two- and four-wheel mobility. For the diesel variants, Honda is expected to bestow BR-V with a re-tweaked version of the 1.5-litre i-DTEC unit, which produces 100PS in other models of the automaker, and those include the likes of Amaze compact sedan and Jazz premium hatchback.
