Apple Music Update Lets Android Users Save Songs to SD Card

Apple has just released an update for Apple Music for Android that lets users store their downloaded songs onto microSD cards.

The good news is Android users will also be able to take advantage of a 3-month free trial before being required to pay the subscription fee. The change lets Android listeners “keep more music offline” – and potentially more music than any iPhone or iPad can store.

Apple Music for Android in Beta mode was launched in November of 2015, and was thus the second (so far only) big service app from the Cupertino-giant for its rival Google’s Android OS.

Are you using Apple Music, or are you sticking with another streaming service?

Previously you could only save the tracks to the internal storage on your Android device, Apple has now added the ability to save tracks to your smartphone or tablets SD card. “We wanted to make sure that they felt very familiar with Apple Music when they sat down to use it”.

Today’s Android update also adds a full schedule for Beats 1 shows and it includes My Music options for browsing by Composers and Compilations, features previously available to iOS users.
