Even if you aren’t keen on rocking a Windows-based mobile device, Vaio’s first-ever phone for the platform is certainly worth a look. The two embattled brands are fighting to remain relevant in saturated tech markets.

Software-wise, the Vaio Phone Biz uses the mobile version of Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile.

This news Windows Phone smartphone is available in Japan for the equivalent of $424, there are no details as yet on whether the company intends to launch the device in other countries. The handset also has a microSD card slot, which a user can utilise to expand the storage by up to 64GB.

The Vaio Phone Biz does have a pretty good camera combo, meaning that the main snapper is a 13-megapixel sensor and the selfie camera is a 5-megapixel sensor. Put simply, Continuum will enable its customers to turn their smartphone into a PC.

It’s design takes very different angle to Microsoft, with the Vaio Phone Biz coming with a full and curved aluminium body – making it more premium and business-like than the polycarbonate-clad Lumias.
