The pair of Virginia Tech students charged in the abduction and death of a 13-year-old girl made their first appearances in court Monday, as an arrest warrant revealed that one told investigators: “I believe the truth can set me free”.

Weeks said her daughter was often tormented by her classmates and teased for scars she had from a liver transplant. “Virginia State Police were dispatched to the general area Saturday afternoon, and she was located just inside the North Carolina border on Route 89 in Surry County”.

Two Virginia Tech students from Maryland charged in the murder of a Virginia girl faced a judge Monday.

Intensifying questions as to how Nicole met her death, police said Lovell was not shot, although they declind to release a cause of death, according to the Associated Press. Eisenhauer used this relationship to his advantage to abduct the 13-year-old and then kill her. Investigators are now attempting to analyze the timeline of the young teen’s death and disappearance and have asked the public to report any relevant information, according to USA Today.

Contributors include Associated Press writers Juliet Linderman in Maryland, and Larry O’Dell and Alanna Durkin Richer in Richmond, Virginia.

Last year, Eisenhauer was featured as “Athlete of the Week” on a TV station in his home town of Columbia, Maryland. Drake said she could not confirm that because of privacy laws, but she said the county’s schools have anti-bullying programs.

David E. Eisenhauer is charged with first-degree murder.

According to CNN, Keepers was charged Sunday with one felony count of improper disposal of a dead body.

Eisenhauer, named Boys Indoor Track Performer of the Year by The Baltimore Sun last March, chose Virginia Tech to pursue engineering while competing with the Hokies’ top college runners, LeMon said. State police spokeswoman Corinne Geller would not say what officials were trying to find.

At the time of her initial disappearance, the girl’s father had expressed hope that his daughter’s immediate whereabouts may be ascertained, whilst at the same time expressing concerns with his daughter’s health given the teen having a liver condition which necessitated her having to take daily medication.

“God got her through all that, and she fought through all that, and he took her life”, Weeks said. Police have not said how Keepers got involved.

“She loved Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper”, Weeks said sadly.

“We discussed it with teachers, but it got worse”.

“We had no reason to think he would be unsuccessful in his goals, because he was very focused”, said Principal James LeMon at Wilde Lake High School, where Eisenhauer graduated past year. “I will not stop until I reach my peak performance”.

Keepers, 19, went to Hammond High School in Columbia.

“We’re all just in utter shock”, Keating said.

“The entire Virginia Tech community extends its support to Nicole’s family and friends”, the university said in a statement.

Logan Fry, a sophomore hospitality major from Roanoke who lives on the same floor as Eisenhauer and also ran track in high school, said Nicole’s death and the arrest of a dorm neighbor was frightening. “You are not alone”.
