Super Bowl 50 quarterbacks share mutual admiration for each other’s careers

Before Cam Newton started dabbing in the end zone this year, he celebrated as if he was Clark Kent ripping off the suit.

The Panthers aren’t shy about celebrating their success, but Newton says they’re dialed in during every play, while the rest is fluff. I’m proud that he’s in the Super Bowl, and I’m going to be rooting hard for him.

“I said ‘Doc, I didn’t ask you if I was going to have a hip replacement”.

“(I) kind of ran myself into the ground a little bit”, Kubiak said. “I’m cool with Robin”.

Just a month away from age 40, Manning hasn’t decided if he’ll hang up his cleats after the Super Bowl, but he will have to deal with a possible National Football League investigation over a media report linking him to Human Growth Hormone.

I do give the slight edge to Denver. In the postseason, the duo already has four sacks.

Panthers QB Cam Newton pictured with Trenton McNair, the son of late Titans QB Steve McNair, at Nissan Stadium last season. ‘You know what’s confusing?

“The more reps he gets, the more comfortable he gets”.

Panthers left tackle Michael Oher said the Broncos linebackers are both “tremendous pass rushers”.

“I think about all those defences – the ’85 (Chicago) Bears, the 2002 (Tampa Bay) Bucs, them (2000 Baltimore) Ravens”, Talib said. The 49ers team they lost to had Joe Montana and Jerry Rice, arguably the greatest quarterback and wide receiver to ever play the game. It’s been a turbulent year, but as we get closer to the finish line it’s good to remember what led up to this moment. He didn’t need to point out that several other black quarterbacks have led their teams to the big game: Doug Williams, Steve McNair, Donovan McNabb, Colin Kaepernick, and Seattle’s Russell Wilson the past two years.

Newton, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 draft, has emerged as one of the NFL’s stars in recent seasons.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera listens to his players. He can rush inside. Sunday’s game could be Manning’s last, though he’s not tipping his hand. “Comparisons to guys like that, it makes you feel uncomfortable”. “We’re still long on the Panthers right now, but it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary to see our position completely change from the first week”. I’ll be walking out in this room, walking up those stairs, going to another meeting, going to practice, probably playing a couple of video games, talking to my parents, making sure they make it here on time, waking up, brushing my teeth – obviously – go to another meeting. “But, the mentality stays the same”.
