Careening Car Ends up on Roof of Southern California House
A California driver’s vehicle landed on a roof after spinning out of control near a residential area in Palos Verdes.

The collision occurred around 4 p.m.in the 500 block of Palos Verdes Drive West. A Lexus crashed into a detached garage.
A young woman who was in the house said the crash sounded like a train coming through, and didn’t realize there was a vehicle on the roof until a neighbor showed her.
A motorist with a medical problem lost control of his auto Wednesday afternoon in Palos Verdes Estates, struck two parked cars, rolled through a yard and launched onto the roof of a house. Officials said the driver of a four-door Lexus hit two cars in the 200 block of Palos Verdes Drive West while traveling southbound.
Only the driver was believed to be injured in the crash and he was immediately taken to the hospital in good condition. An Urban Search and Rescue team was examining the property to see if its structural integrity had been put at risk.

LA County Fire PIO Firefighters ended up using a crane to remove the vehicle from its unlikely perch.
