In this January 31, 2016 photo, Blacksburg Lieutenant Mike Albert announces that Virginia Tech student Natalie Keepers was arrested in connection to the death of Nicole Madison Lovell, in Blacksburg, Va. Keepers faces charges of improper disposal of a body and accessory after the fact in the commission of a felony. Keepers is a sophomore Engineering student at Virginia Tech.

Both are engineering majors whose futures seemed bright. The university said he’s been suspended. He is being held without bail at Montgomery County Jail.

“This has been an extremely fast investigation within the just past 12 hours,”Blacksburg Police Chief Anthony Wilson said in a news release”.

A former teammate of the Maryland man charged in the death of a 13-year-old Virginia girl says he was a good student who never got into any trouble. He provided nearly no details on how she was located, but said authorities received numerous tips leading them to a lonely road in North Carolina some 100 miles (161km) from her home.

“I’m so in shock I know nothing more to say”, the victim’s father, David Lovell, said on Facebook.

Lovell was a seventh grader at Blacksburg Middle.

Two Virginia Tech students who had bright futures appeared before a judge Monday in the death of a seventh-grade girl who was active on social media and apparently climbed out her bedroom window.

Speaking on behalf of the entire school community, Virginia Tech president Tim Sands offered Nicole’s family and friends condolences.

The Baltimore Sun reports that Eisenhauer ran cross country at Virginia Tech. “I don’t know how to react to something like that”, said Outlaw.

“We have some very wounded folks in this community and please show them some respect”, Wilson said. “These are the kinds of crimes that rip communities apart”. According to the Times, Eisenhauer was arrested Thursday morning in connection with Lovell’s disappearance and charged with abduction.

CNN is attempting to find out if Eisenhauer has retained an attorney.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, FBI Charlotte, N.C., Field Office, and the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office are collaborating with the Blacksburg police in the investigation, according to the Washington Post. “We would never have seen this coming”, Keating said.
