Thursday Morning Weather, 2-04-16

Rain will linger into early Friday morning, but with temperatures starting the day in the 30s, some snow could mix in with the rain. I’ve been tracking an area of low pressure that is forecast to develop near the Texas Coast on Saturday.

While it will be sunny early next week, a series of cold fronts will keep temperatures below normal with lots of strong northerly winds. Still rather cold with highs in the low to mid 50s. At this time, we’re expecting little to no accumulation on the ground since we’ve seen so much rain recently.

Arctic air will drop into the southeast by Wednesday.

Sunshine is in the forecast as we move throughout the afternoon tomorrow.

Today a cold front has swept offshore… and with the colder air moving in and the moisture lingering… it is going to be a wet day. Light winds from the southwest will combine with abundant sunshine to produce highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

We’re into the upper teens that night, and it should be the coldest night of the upcoming week.

Thanks for reading the Thursday morning weather discussion and blog.

Temperatures will soar to the upper 50s by Sunday before a front drops highs to the 40s for Monday. Then slowly falling temperatures… into the low 50s later this afternoon.
