Will Super Bowl 50 be Peyton Manning’s last National Football League game?

The Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers started their Super Bowl preparations just under two weeks ago.

Denver’s flight into San Jose, California, was delayed by an hour. The Broncos want teams to pass against them. Someone in the cockpit waved a Broncos flag out of a window as the plane taxied along the tarmac.

But if it doesn’t, if the Broncos quarterback’s season doesn’t end with a win against the Carolina Panthers and his second career Super Bowl title, Bailey wouldn’t blame Manning if he isn’t quite ready to retire.

The hip replacement surgery can wait for now; however, as Manning will play perhaps his final National Football League game on Super Bowl Sunday against the Carolina Panthers this weekend. No team has been as dominant defensively as Denver, and if there is a unit capable or neutralizing Cam Newton’s offense, it’s them.

“When I go places and I talk to kids and I talk to parents and I talk to athletes all over, they look at my story and they see a person-African-American or not-they see something that they can relate to”, he said.

“I don’t think it’s important about winning a number of Super Bowls”, Eli said. Peyton’s very capable of doing everything he needs to do and he knows that and I see that in him every day at practice right now. If I had done that, then I’d have been saying, ‘Maybe I should have given it another shot.

“Am I going to have some potential neck procedures down the road, I don’t know”.

“Sure I’m proud of it. I’m proud that we’re able to compete and have had good teams since I’ve been back”, said Elway, who took over as general manager in 2011.

“Plus, we’ve drafted on the defensive side of the ball, and I think it’s all come together”.

According to the sports betting site OddsShark, the Panthers are now -5.5 point favorites, with 58% of total bets thus far favoring the team.

Last week, faced with a growing stream of comments, criticisms and questions about his flashy showmanship on the field, Newton attributed much of the hubbub to race. The only Super Bowls that had an offensive player win the MVP and were defense dominated were the New York Giants (Super Bowls XXI, XXV, XLII, XLVI) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (Super Bowls IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL and XLIII).
