Voter registration deadline is February 10
Town clerks on Cape Cod are concerned that an increasing number of residents that consider themselves “independent” might have accidentally registered in the United Independent Party.

Unenrolled voters or voters enrolled in political designations can ask for any party ballot on Primary Day, but someone registered in a party can only vote on that party’s ballot.
Oklahoma State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax says voters who need to register or change their party affiliation or registration information have until Friday to do so in time for the March 1 Presidential Preferential Primary Election.
Scotland County Clerk Batina Dodge reminds area residents of the registration requirements, including one key component, that registration forms must be completed and postmarked no later than the fourth Wednesday before the election.

The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is February 29 at 12 p.m. Applications must be made in writing and should be mailed or hand delivered. A Democrat can not take a Republican ballot, and a Republican can not take a Democratic one. To register to vote in the Commonwealth, you must be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 on or before the next election and a resident of MA.
