Dem race shaken, stirred as Sanders, Clinton meet in debate
My take: I don’t see any pro-Clinton conspiracy here, as many of those who wrote me alleged.

The three top candidates – former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Sen. But Clinton outlined what their argument might be. And he doesn’t want you to remember he got silver in Iowa.
But she stressed her commitment to campaigning in New Hampshire, while acknowledging that Sanders is leading the polls.
“I don’t think it ever helps after you lose an election to ask for a do over”, Christie said on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends”.
“They’ve been saying the same things over and over”, the New Hampshire man said.
Scant polling has been released since the Iowa caucuses, so it’s hard to say yet whether the momentum reflected in fundraising and energetic crowds is translating to broader support for Rubio in the Granite State.
It’s a rare time Clinton is embracing – true or not – her role as the underdog. On Monday night, a close approximation of the delegates won by Clinton and Sanders was known.
Trump skipped the last GOP debate, Cruz said, because he doesn’t want to debate the issues substantively. “I can not even imagine not being here”.
She spoke at a rally in Nashua, New Hampshire, earlier Tuesday before the Iowa Democratic Party’s announcement, sounding a confident note even as the race remained unresolved. By tempering expectations, a stronger-than-expected finish on primary night could be touted as a win. “At the end of the day, we still have a lot of work that we can do here in the next week”.
“New York City is our largest city”.
Clinton may need to to wait until late February for a realistic chance to put a solid win in her column. “If I’m president, we’re going to repeal every word of Obamacare”. The format for the two-hour event will be the same as CNN’s other town hall – the candidates, only Clinton and Sanders since former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley dropped out of the race, will not appear on stage at the same time.
On Wednesday, Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver told CNN that they would continue to fight for the Brooklyn debate.
To be sure, Clinton is not without advantages in the state. And he’s lately been going after her for supporting President Barack Obama’s Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal. Glenn Thompson, who will endorse him officially on Thursday, and former Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, would fall short. Still, the race isn’t almost as negative as the Republican primary contest, which was dominated on Wednesday by personal attacks among Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Ben Carson. There is no equivalent force for Clinton – or any other candidate, with the possible exception of Donald Trump on the Republican side.
“Of course I am a Democrat and running for the Democratic nomination”, he said. We need someone with judgment and the temperament to keep this country safe. Clinton’s margin over Sanders was so minuscule that it risked being erased if vote-counting errors were discovered later. “Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified”, he tweeted Wednesday, referring to a targeted campaign mailer sent by the Cruz campaign that accused Iowans who hadn’t voted in previous caucuses of violating state voting laws.
“I am so thrilled to be coming to New Hampshire after winning Iowa!”
“Well, I don’t know”. Lodge was from neighboring MA.
For most of the campaign, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton have been playing it nice.
