Super Bowl 50 Shows Off a Fitter, Faster NFL

Super Bowl Sunday (or Monday for us in Phnom Penh) is finally upon us, with Cam Newton’s Carolina Panthers taking on Peyton Manning’s Denver Broncos at Santa Clara, California’s Levi Stadium. In this case, it worked out for me. “It was tough for him, we came in new, he’d been running a system for a while, we have some things we believe in, we tried to mesh two things together, and I know it was tough on him”.

“I always felt like I should have been drafted higher”, Coleman said, as reported by McLane.

“Joe Ellis, our team president, addressed the team the other day and had some stories and thoughts about Mr. Bowlen”, Manning said. This can potentially be the final game of his football career and he is going to put everything he has into this game to end his legendary career on a heroic note.

“The similarities in build between James and Newton-James is 6’8″, 250 pounds and Newton is listed at 6’5”, 245 pounds-as well as the level of media attention they command have invited the comparisons between the two players. It was mostly the Panthers defense that led the way, but once Newton’s confidence grew, that quickly changed. And now he’s the star of Super Bowl 50, while Osweiler once again watches from the sidelines. “He’s one of the best to have ever done it, a future Hall of Famer, and he has done so much for me”.

“Whether we win or not, I think the most important thing about it is what we’ve brought to the Carolinas and to the community”, says the coach. After only having one game with a 60-plus completion percentage in the first half, he did so five times in the latter half.

DENVER +5.5, over Carolina. Ryan comment: Just because I want to see Manning win.

The Panthers turned to Anderson twice past year after injuries to Newton, and he led them to a pair of wins on their way to a division title.

But which one to pick?

“The relationship that me and Cam have – it’s a unique opportunity to go against a great quarterback, another great in the National Football League”, Miller said. “It has the makings to be a great game”.

This year promises to be no different when the two number one seeds square off. Sub-plots and narratives abound.

Peyton has been mum all week when it comes to retirement talk.

Newton’s played very well throughout the league and has looked like a quarterback ready to make better decisions with each down.

Earlier in the week, Newton joked about LeBron James being the “Cam Newton” of power forwards. “I think that shows the type of leader and the type of player that he is”.

Seven years later with Jake Delhomme at quarterback under coach John Fox, they went all the way to the Super Bowl but fell just short, losing to the New England Patriots 32-29.

North and South Carolina have always been hot beds for NASCAR and college sports, particularly basketball with such successful teams as Duke and the University of North Carolina, and the Clemson (South Carolina) football team.
